The "Pieces of Us" custom sneaker carries many stories and a shared message about what it means to connect with one another.
This shoe is a hand-designed, one-of-a-kind custom sneaker created for World Autism Awareness Day. The goal of the project is to show that art does not only express — it can also create real impact. The central elements of the design are the color blue and puzzle motifs. To me, the puzzle is a symbol of diversity: separate pieces that may not seem to fit at first, yet together they form a complete picture. Just like us, as people.
Autism reminds us of this as well: we all perceive the world differently, in different rhythms, in different colors. This difference is not a lack, but a value — a different perspective we can learn from. If we are open to one another, we can grow immensely and move closer to a world where everyone can be present as their true self.
All proceeds from the sneaker will be donated to an autism association.
The auction winner will be able to choose the design they like the most.
